Product & Engineering Excellence Manager
We are seeking a Product & Engineering Excellence Manager to join our Tech Enablement team at Adyen.

This role will focus on strengthening how our Product and Engineering teams operate day-to-day - improving clarity, alignment, and execution quality across our global Tech Hubs.

This is a high-impact role for someone who has already built operational excellence within Product or Engineering teams and is ready to scale that impact company-wide.

Tech Enablement Team

As a cross-functional group at Adyen, the Tech Enablement team brings Engineering, Product, and UX together.

Our mission is to help teams work better, smarter, and more collaboratively by introducing shared practices that reduce friction and enable scalable, accountable ways of working across our global Tech organization.

We focus on:

  • Supporting Tech Strategic Themes
  • Establishing Adyen’s Tech ways of working
  • Advancing Business & Product Priorities
What You’ll DoDrive Operational Excellence Across Product & Engineering
  • Lead targeted initiatives that improve how Product and Engineering teams plan, prioritize, and execute.
  • Improve clarity of ownership, decision-making frameworks, and collaboration models.
  • Strengthen feedback loops between Product, Engineering, and partner functions.
Improve Ways of Working
  • Identify friction points in the product development lifecycle and implement pragmatic improvements.
  • Contribute to refining governance models, rituals, and documentation standards.
  • Support adoption and consistency of shared practices across teams.
Own and Scale Specific Problem Areas
  • Take ownership of one or more defined improvement domains (e.g., prioritization frameworks, product discovery quality, cross-team dependency management, roadmap transparency).
  • Move from problem diagnosis to implementation and measurable impact.
Partner Closely with the Senior Excellence Manager
  • Complement structural transformation initiatives with strong execution and follow-through.
  • Translate strategy into tangible process improvements.
  • Surface insights from teams to inform broader organizational improvements.
Enable Growth
  • Bring a strong execution mindset today, while showing potential to grow into broader strategic ownership over time.
Who You Are

You are an operator with strong Product or Engineering credibility who enjoys improving how teams work and wants to scale your impact beyond a single team.

Experience
  • 6–8 years of experience in high-growth or technically complex environments.
  • Background in:
    • Product Operations/Excellence
    • Engineering Operations/Excellence
    • Product Management
    • Engineering Team Leadership
Product-Forward Perspective
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle, prioritization, discovery, and delivery practices.
  • Comfortable partnering with Engineering and Product, even if not deeply hands-on technically.
  • Able to understand technical trade-offs at a conceptual level.
Execution-Oriented Problem Solver
  • You identify inefficiencies and act on them.
  • You enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity.
  • You can take a loosely defined problem and turn it into a practical, implemented solution.
Influence Without Authority
  • Comfortable operating in a matrixed environment.
  • Able to gain buy-in from Product Managers, Engineers, leadership and stakeholders.
  • Balanced communicator — structured, clear, pragmatic.
