Job Description

This is the Job

We’re looking for a Product Director, Digital Products & Partnerships to join our Chief Technology Office, reporting to the Chief Product Officer.

You’ll lead the product vision, strategy, investment priorities and outcomes across a diverse portfolio spanning Financial Services, Driving School, Mobile Apps, AA Cars and DriveTech. With responsibility for products and propositions at different stages of maturity, you’ll set a clear direction that delivers measurable customer and business value while creating opportunities for growth, engagement and innovation across the wider AA ecosystem.

Working in close partnership with Engineering leadership and leading through senior Product leaders, you’ll translate enterprise and product strategy into clear priorities and investment choices. You’ll bring coherence across a portfolio with differing operating models and commercial objectives, balancing growth and innovation with customer outcomes, regulatory requirements, operational performance and long term technology sustainability.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and lead the vision, strategy and roadmap across a diverse portfolio of digital products and propositions, translating enterprise objectives, customer needs and commercial opportunities into clear priorities, investment choices and measurable outcomes.
  • Set product direction across Financial Services, Driving School, Mobile Apps, AA Cars and DriveTech, identifying opportunities to increase customer engagement, strengthen propositions and create greater value across the AA ecosystem.
  • Lead, coach and develop senior Product leaders, building strong product capability and empowering teams to make effective decisions within clear strategic and investment guardrails.
  • Own product investment prioritisation across the portfolio, making evidence led trade offs across growth, innovation, live service, regulation and product sustainability to maximise customer and business value.
  • Partner closely with Engineering leadership to provide aligned Product and Engineering direction, balancing customer and commercial priorities with resilience, security, technical debt and long term technology sustainability.
  • Act as a senior Product leader across the organisation, influencing executive stakeholders and strategic partners while providing clear visibility of strategy, investment, performance, risks and outcomes across the portfolio.

What You’ll Bring

  • Significant experience operating as a senior Product or Digital leader within a large, complex organisation, with accountability for product strategy and measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Proven experience leading a diverse portfolio of digital products, propositions, customer journeys or Product teams through senior Product leaders.
  • Strong modern product management capability across discovery, experimentation, outcome based roadmaps, prioritisation and continuous improvement, using customer insight, commercial data and product analytics to inform decisions.
  • Strong commercial and investment judgement, with experience balancing customer value, growth, cost, risk and return on investment while identifying, validating and scaling new opportunities.
  • Experience developing and scaling digital products or propositions at different stages of maturity, alongside a strong understanding of customer engagement and the role digital products can play across a wider ecosystem.
  • Strong executive leadership and influencing capability, with experience developing senior Product leaders, partnering with Engineering leadership and navigating competing priorities across organisational boundaries.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with strategic partnerships, third party propositions or partner supported products.
  • Experience operating within regulated, operationally critical or customer facing environments.
  • Relevant Product Management, Digital, Commercial or leadership qualifications.
