What’s the role about?

We’re looking for a highly experienced and commercially driven Product Development Manager for our Menswear department who will support and deputise for the Head of Product Development. In this pivotal role, you’ll help shape the sourcing and product development strategy, working closely with Design, Merchandising, Buying, and Technical teams to ensure the smooth running of the product critical path and achievement of departmental margin targets. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and developing our global supply base, driving innovation, quality, and sustainability through strong supplier partnerships and commercially intelligent product development.

Who you are

  • An experienced product development professional with a strong understanding of sourcing, garment construction, and cost management.
  • Commercially minded, with proven ability to drive intake margins while maintaining design integrity and brand standards.
  • Skilled in supplier negotiation and relationship management, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple product categories and deadlines.
  • Confident working cross-functionally with Design, Merchandising, Buying, and Technical teams.
  • Passionate about product innovation, sustainability, and delivering the highest quality standards.
  • A motivating team leader who inspires excellence and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the Head of Product Development to deliver the seasonal sourcing strategy, ensuring a balanced, innovative, and efficient supply base.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to drive product quality, innovation, and commercial value.
  • Managing product costings and driving intake margin, ensuring pricing aligns with both design vision and business targets.
  • Leading supplier selection, negotiating cost prices, and reviewing detailed cost breakdowns to engineer products to price point.
  • Collaborating with the Fabric team to negotiate fabric and trim costs and identify sustainable material opportunities.
  • Managing the product critical path, troubleshooting delays, and ensuring timely product sign-off and delivery.
  • Partnering with Design and Buying to evolve product concepts into commercially viable collections aligned with our brand identity.
  • Attending fit sessions as needed, advising on construction and cost implications to ensure best results in both fit and margin.
  • Working closely with the ESG team to drive the development of sustainable fabrics, trims, and practices.
  • Leading, coaching, and supporting the Product Development team to deliver best-in-class product and process execution.
