Product Counsel embedded with crypto, prediction market, and financial product teams. Reviews product features for regulatory exposure, translates legal constraints into engineering requirements, advises product roadmaps, builds scalable legal frameworks, monitors regulatory developments, and makes real-time decisions on novel legal risks.
Dragonfly is a crypto-native Venture Capital and research firm with $3.6B+ in assets under management and 160+ portfolio companies. Our Talent team connects people with roles across our portfolio, opening the door to opportunities through our Talent Network.
This is an application to join our talent network. This is not a listing for an internal role at Dragonfly.
We're actively sourcing for a Product Counsel operating at the intersection of crypto, prediction markets, and financial regulation. This is not a traditional legal seat. You sit between legal and product, embedded with the team making product decisions daily.
Location: New York (onsite)
What We're Looking For:
- JD required, you've practiced law and know how to construct an argument not just summarize one
- 8+ years at the intersection of legal and product, in-house at a tech or crypto company or embedded regulatory advisory
- Prior experience in crypto, non-negotiable
- You know how regulators think and what they look for
- Strong product instincts, you've worked with world-class product teams and think in user flows and tradeoffs
- Comfortable operating without established playbooks in a fast-moving environment
- CFTC, derivatives, or prediction market experience a meaningful plus
About the Role:
- Review new product features and market categories for regulatory exposure before they launch
- Translate legal and compliance constraints into specific product requirements engineering can build to
- Contribute to the product roadmap by flagging regulatory risk early
- Build internal frameworks that let the team move faster without escalating every legal question
- Monitor the regulatory environment across crypto, derivatives, and prediction markets
- Make fast, well-reasoned calls on novel legal risk in real time and own those decisions
Even if you don't match every point above but have relevant experience in crypto legal or regulatory work, we encourage you to apply. There may be other opportunities that fit your skill set.
Process:
- We'll confidentially match you with portfolio companies aligned with your background, skill set, and interests
- If mutual interest exists between you and a team, we'll facilitate a warm introduction
- If there isn't a match today, we'll keep you top of mind for future opportunities
Compensation
- $250,000–$400,000
The compensation range reflects variation by seniority, location, and hiring company. Final compensation is confirmed with the specific hiring company.
Submit your information below, and we'll reach out if there's a potential fit.
