Product Analyst, 9 Month FTC, London

Join Pay.UK as a Product Analyst and help shape clear, evidence-based decisions for services that support the UK’s retail payments infrastructure. This is a role for someone who enjoys turning data, user needs and product information into practical insight, with the chance to work in a sector where scale is real.  Annually, our payment systems process over 11 billion transactions worth over £10 trillion.

We’re looking for a Product Analyst who can work closely with product, delivery and business teams to understand performance, identify opportunities and support well-informed product choices. You’ll be part of an environment where people are encouraged to contribute, learn and grow, and where solid analysis helps us build trust in services used every day by people and businesses across the UK.

Accountabilities
  • Analyse product, service and performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities across payment-related products.
  • Translate business questions into clear analytical approaches, measures and reporting that support product decisions.
  • Prepare concise reports, dashboards and presentations that explain findings, assumptions and recommendations in a clear way.
  • Work with product managers and cross-functional teams to define product requirements, success measures and priorities.
  • Review customer, operational and market information to build a rounded view of product performance and user needs.
  • Track key product metrics and maintain regular reporting to support planning, reviews and decision-making.
  • Document analysis, product insights and supporting evidence so that decisions are transparent and easy to follow.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying where data, reporting or product processes can be simplified and improved.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Good understanding of product development in financial services. Fraud product knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience in a product analyst, business analyst or similar analytical role, with responsibility for turning data into clear product insight.
  • Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative information and present findings in reports, dashboards, or presentations.
  • Experience of defining and tracking product or service performance measures to support decision-making.
  • Ability to work with product, delivery and business stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
