Job Description

Teledyne e2v’s RF Power business is a global leader in advanced RF solutions, delivering high-reliability systems for critical applications across science, healthcare, defence, and industrial sectors.

This is a unique and high-impact opportunity to join the RF Power Project team, taking a leading role in driving subcontractor performance and supplier readiness across complex, cutting-edge programmes. You will play a pivotal part in two strategically important PCBA system integration projects, each at different stages of their lifecycle, ensuring seamless progression from concept through to stable production.

Working within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment, you will champion supplier alignment from early design engagement through industrialisation to full delivery. At every stage, you will proactively manage readiness, minimise execution risk, and enable confident programme delivery.

As the key interface between engineering, operations, quality, and the supply base, you will ensure that commercial strategy, technical maturity, and delivery performance are fully integrated—driving programme milestones and strengthening overall delivery assurance.

Main Responsibilities:

Subcontract & Supplier Delivery

  • Lead supplier selection activities ensuring capability, capacity, and maturity alignment to programme phase (NPI through to production ramp) and delivery risk profile.

  • Own end-to-end delivery performance of assigned subcontractors, ensuring alignment to programme milestones, cost targets, and quality requirements.

  • Establish and maintain robust supplier delivery plans, tracking performance against agreed schedules and proactively managing risks and constraints.

  • Lead recovery planning and execution for underperforming suppliers, driving timely resolution of delivery or quality issues.

Supplier Readiness & Technical Programme Support

  • Engage suppliers early in the design and NPI phases to ensure technical capability, capacity, and readiness to support programme requirements.

  • Conduct supplier readiness and capability assessments, including industrialisation, compliance, and documentation maturity.

  • Ensure alignment between engineering change processes and supplier execution, minimising disruption to programme delivery.

  • Support structured onboarding and qualification of suppliers, including compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.

Commercial & Contract Management

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned to programme and business objectives.

  • Lead contractual negotiations and establish framework agreements that appropriately manage delivery risk, performance expectations, and commercial outcomes.

  • Manage change control, variations, and commercial risks throughout the subcontract lifecycle.

Supplier Performance & Development

  • Drive supplier performance management through data-driven reviews, KPIs, and structured improvement plans.

  • Identify and implement supplier development initiatives to improve capability, capacity, quality, and delivery reliability.

  • Develop resilient supply strategies including dual sourcing and alternative supplier identification.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the primary link between procurement, suppliers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ensure integrated execution.

  • Support programme teams in defining procurement requirements and ensuring supplier deliverables meet technical and programme objectives.

  • Provide clear communication and escalation of supplier-related risks and opportunities.

Desired Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Significant experience in procurement, subcontract management, or supply chain roles within a technical or engineering environment.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and managing supplier engagement from design through to production.

  • Strong understanding of supplier readiness, qualification processes, and compliance requirements, including regulatory, environmental, and quality standards.

  • Proven ability to manage supplier performance and deliver recovery in challenging delivery environments.

  • Experience working within complex, low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.

  • Strong commercial and contractual acumen, with experience managing risk and negotiating agreements.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

  • Analytical capability with strong data handling skills, including Excel, SQL and ERP systems such as SAP.

  • Professional procurement qualifications, such as MCIPS are desirable.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline would be advantageous.

  • Eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance is a requirement

  • Some travel within UK
