Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. Team members (you) will have manufacturing engineering local leadership within one of our microelectronics manufacturing cells. This process engineering team member will coordinate with the various functions to help support front line issues while driving continuous improvement activity for further cost reduction in the factory.
The team member will support our "wire and ribbon bonding" cell and make use of automated and manual wedge bonding and ball bonding equipment, bond pull and ball shear equipment, plasma cleaners, and automated optical inspection equipment. This role will also engage with tool and fixture design engineers and/or CAD software to improve upon existing assembly aides. Interaction with operators will be critical to understand day-to-day problems and helping to plan out paths to resolution. Interaction with suppliers and effective communication of material problems will help shift problems back to the points of origin.
This process engineering job will effectively lead a group of 3-5 cross-functional employees and will be empowered to help with various decisions that improve the overall success of the microelectronics factory (yield improvements, cost take out, delivery improvements).
Full-time onsite:

  • Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
B.S. in Engineering (all types considered, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial preferred) and 2 years of experience, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Manufacturing experience with equipment support
Effective communication (cross shift, written/Power Point, can various levels of audiences)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Secret clearance, or ability to obtain is preferred, not required
Lean manufacturing knowledge
Six Sigma training or projects preferred
Familiarity with Widows based applications
Experience with Palomar 8000 series and 9000 series autobonding equipment, Nordson Dage bond pull equipment, Westbond manual bonding equipment preferred
Experience with automated manufacturing equipment (programing, maintaining, troubleshooting)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
