Job Description

Join Analysys Mason’s Transaction Support practice at a time of growth and play a senior role in shaping the investment decisions behind technology-intensive markets.

As a Principal, you will lead pre-deal engagements that bring together sector insight, commercial judgement and clear, practical advice in situations where quality, pace and precision matter.

This is an opportunity to take on a senior role in a growing practice within a specialist firm with a strong reputation in digital infrastructure, connectivity, space, media and technology-enabled markets. You will have the scope to build trusted relationships with investors and management teams, contribute to business development, and help shape the continued growth of our transaction support work.

You will work with colleagues who bring deep sector knowledge, analytical rigour and a shared commitment to high-quality advice. We value collaboration, clear thinking and different perspectives, and we create space for people to develop their expertise, support others and build their profile with clients.

For someone who enjoys combining client leadership, team development and commercial contribution, this role offers real breadth. You will have meaningful influence, visible responsibility and the opportunity to do work that supports major investment decisions across the sectors that are shaping the future.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • leading pre-deal commercial due diligence and related transaction support engagements for investors and management teams across technology-intensive sectors
  • shaping project scope, approach and workplans, and guiding teams to deliver clear, well-evidenced advice under time-sensitive deal conditions
  • assessing market dynamics, competitive positioning, growth potential, customer demand, business models and commercial risks
  • translating complex analysis into clear conclusions and practical recommendations for senior client stakeholders
  • building trusted relationships with private equity, infrastructure investors, corporate clients and management teams
  • contributing to business development, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals and supporting senior client conversations
  • helping to develop our transaction support offer, including sector perspectives, analytical approaches and reusable tools
  • coaching and supporting consultants and managers, creating an inclusive team environment where people can do their best work
  • working closely with colleagues across Analysys Mason to bring together relevant expertise from across our specialist areas
  • contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the transaction support practice.

Qualifications

We recognise and celebrate the fact that not everybody is the same, and we value the diversity of backgrounds and skillsets you will bring to our team.

You need to have existing experience in strategy consulting, transaction support, commercial due diligence, corporate strategy, investment, or a closely related advisory role. You should bring a strong understanding of technology-intensive sectors, the ability to lead complex client engagements, and the judgement to turn analysis into clear recommendations for investors and management teams.

We are particularly interested in people who enjoy building trusted client relationships, supporting the development of others, and contributing to the growth of a specialist practice. You do not need to have followed one particular career path, but you should be able to show that you can work confidently with senior stakeholders, guide teams through demanding projects, and deliver high-quality advice in time-sensitive situations.
