WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US 

The goal of the EMEA Integrations Solutions Engineer (Presales Integration Specialist) is to act as a subject matter expert for integration technologies with a focus on API and system connectivity across Financial Technology platforms Key responsibilities includes guiding solution design across cloud environments and technologies while supporting sales activities such as tenders, RFPs, Proof of Concepts and Workshops.   

    

You will be part of a team of more than 30 consultants across EMEA. In the role asPrincipal Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with the Sales and Customer Success Management teams to understand the client needs and requirements. You will provide high quality presentations, workshops and PoCs (proof of concept) in the displaying the flexibility of the SimCorp suites of solutions to integrate both upstream and downstream through standard interfaces and custom where relevant. 

  

You will be reporting to the Senior Director leading the EMEA Data & C Communications Solutions Engineering team. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 

  • Analyzing workflows and requirements of prospects and linking these to SimCorp standard integrations or showcasing the flexibility for custom integrations where required. 

  • A champion of AI – promoting automation and efficiency within SimCorp and utilising AI for integration between enterprise platforms 

  • Mapping requests from customers with the product and services offered by SimCorp. 

  • Providing high quality responses to prospective client RFIs (request for information) and RFPs (request for proposal).   

  • Contributing to and delivering SimCorp One (SimCorp’s core platform) presentations, demos, workshops, and POCs. 

  • Effectively communicating the benefits and value of SimCorp's solutions to prospective clients. 

  • Obtaining a thorough understanding of SimCorp's sales model and relevant processes. 

  • Gaining and maintaining knowledge of SimCorp's product and service portfolio. 

  • Sharing expertise. 

 

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Domain expertise in APIs (RESTful/SOAP), middleware, data platforms (Snowflake) and data migration. 

  • Python or similar interpreted languages (Java, JavaScript) 

  • Knowledge of industry communication protocols such as SWIFT and FIX    

  • Firm understanding of AI and a drive to bridge the gap between AI models (like LLMs) and SimCorp solutions 

  • Very good presentation or system demo skills.   

  • Great consulting and communication skills (both written and oral). 

  • Methodical and structured approach.   

  • Experience in a similar technical role in the financial services industry or consulting firm is nice to have. 

  • Fluency in English is essential (spoken and written). French or German skills would be beneficial. 

  • Flexibility to travel within EMEA (approx. 5 days/month).
