The opportunity

Unity LevelPlay is a leading mediation platform for game developers, sitting at the heart of Unity's Grow business. LevelPlay helps thousands of mobile game developers maximize ad revenue across the world's largest ad networks, combining real-time bidding, advanced revenue optimization, and deep analytics to power monetization for many of the top-grossing mobile games globally.

We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to help shape the future of the platform. This is a senior individual contributor role with outsized scope: you'll drive strategic bets that span the mediation stack, from auction dynamics and bidding infrastructure to publisher-facing tooling and cross-platform integrations, and influence how Unity's mediation ecosystem evolves over the next several years. You'll operate as a thought partner to product and engineering leadership, and your decisions will directly impact revenue for developers around the world and for Unity itself.

What you'll be doing
  • Help shape the product vision and future strategy for the LevelPlay mediation platform, and own the roadmap for core areas from definition and planning through launch and iteration
  • Drive high-stakes platform decisions on auction mechanics, bidding vs. waterfall dynamics, network integrations, and revenue optimization, grounded in data and marketplace understanding
  • Partner deeply with engineering, data science, design, and monetization teams to ship at scale, with strict latency and reliability demands
  • Engage directly with top publishers and ad network partners to understand needs, validate direction, and represent the voice of the developer in strategic decisions
  • Align stakeholders across Unity's Grow and Create divisions to deliver a unified experience
  • Mentor and up-level PMs across the LevelPlay team, raising the bar for strategic product decision-making

What we're looking for
  • Extensive product management experience, with a track record of operating at principal level or equivalent: shaping strategy, not just executing it
  • Deep domain expertise in ad tech: mediation, in-app bidding, programmatic auctions, ad networks, or adjacent marketplace/monetization systems
  • Demonstrated success owning platform products end to end, from definition through launch, iteration, and scale
  • Strong analytical rigor, including comfort with experimentation, marketplace metrics (ARPDAU, eCPM, fill rate), and making revenue-impacting decisions under uncertainty
  • Experience partnering with ML and data science teams to bring models, signals, or optimization features into production
  • Exceptional stakeholder leadership: able to align executives, engineers, and external partners, and guide teams through ambiguity to impactful outcomes
  • A track record of driving decisions independently and with conviction, grounded in your own analysis
  • Experience in mobile gaming or with mobile developer ecosystems

You might also have
  • Hands-on experience with ad mediation platforms
  • Background in auction theory, machine learning-driven optimization, or real-time bidding systems
  • Experience with SDK-based products and an understanding of the mobile ad lifecycle, including privacy frameworks (e.g. ATT, Privacy Sandbox), latency optimization, and network adapter strategy
