Job Description

Summary:

This position is to be responsible for managing the day to day product development & management function for the Ares Wealth Management Solutions team in Europe.  Ares Wealth Management Solutions (“AWMS”) is a leading global platform focused on expanding individual investors’ access to Ares’ leading private markets capabilities, by way of innovative investment solutions, educational resources, and long-term partnerships.

The candidate will be leading the firm’s strategic objectives related to the continuing build out of our European fund range & management of our existing products in key markets like Southern Europe, DACH, UK and Middle East.

Primary Functions & Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible for product development/management for the AWMS team in Europe
• Drive the development of appropriate product structures to meet AWMS & our clients’ needs. Proactivity and innovation is key
• Manage the onboarding of new products and initiatives in conjunction with the global AWMS teams to ensure we have a synced up global model
• Project lead fund launches alongside external parties such as legal, tax, admin, depository, etc. to ensure efficiency in speed to market
• Taking the initiative for the continued build out of the AWMS EMEA funds offering and thinking how best to access markets with our strategies
• Ongoing assessment of the ever-changing regulatory landscape to ensure AWMS is best positioned in relation to products it offers
• Build and maintain strong network across the firm to facilitate collaboration with Product Management, Client Service, Investment Operations and other groups 
• Also build strong relationships within the investment teams across the various strategy verticals (Credit, Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Secondaries)
• Work closely with Product Management colleagues in Europe, US and Asia

Education/Certification:

• Undergraduate degree preferable (or equivalent experience)

Required Knowledge:

• Alternative investment products and services
• In-depth understanding of global wealth management and its corresponding distribution channels
• Excellent product knowledge (SICAVs, Cayman Funds, AIFs, SLPs, FCRs, etc)
• Understanding of complex regulatory regimes and how best to fit products within them

Required Experience:

• Minimum 10 years experience in asset management
• Global distribution model understanding

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions. 
• Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic
• Work experience in a position requiring a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
• Highly motivated with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines
