About the role

We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Solution Consultant to support the growth of our managed services, cloud, workplace, networking and security portfolio. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them define technology strategies, shape transformation programmes and design commercially viable solutions.

The role works closely with sales, technical delivery, product, service management and vendor teams to shape compelling propositions combining Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, AVD, SD-WAN, SB-BRANCH and SASE technologies to deliver secure and connected IT services.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior trusted advisor to customers and lead workshops, discovery sessions and roadmap engagements.
  • Translate business challenges into technical and commercial solutions aligned to business outcomes.
  • Design end-to-end managed service solutions across cloud, workplace, networking and security domains.
  • Support sales teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle, including proposals, presentations, RFPs, RFIs and tenders.
  • Develop solution architectures, high-level designs, statements of work and commercial inputs.
  • Support commercial modelling, pricing, licensing and service design activities.
  • Advise customers on cloud adoption, datacentre transformation, end user computing, networking and security strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for service optimisation, managed service expansion, security uplift and workplace modernisation.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are deliverable, supportable and profitable through collaboration with delivery and operations teams.

Measures of Success

  • Quality and credibility of customer engagements.
  • Contribution to new business and managed service revenue.
  • Strength of solution designs and proposal outputs.
  • Ability to convert customer requirements into commercially viable solutions.
  • Customer satisfaction and feedback from strategic workshops.
  • Effective collaboration with sales, product, delivery and operations teams.
  • Contribution to repeatable propositions and service offerings.
  • Identification and development of opportunities across cloud, workplace, security and networking services.

All about You

  • 7–15+ years of experience in IT, ideally within a Managed Service Provider or technology services environment.
  • Proven background in pre-sales, solution consulting, solution architecture or technical advisory roles.
  • Strong customer-facing, workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Broad knowledge of cloud, workplace, EUC, networking and security technologies.
  • Strong written communication, proposal development and presentation skills.
  • Commercial awareness with experience supporting sales opportunities.
  • Consultative, customer-focused and commercially minded.
  • Able to simplify complex technical concepts and work effectively across multi-vendor environments.
  • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to delivery and continuous learning.
