Banana Moon Day Nursery is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Room Leader to join our committed team. We strive to create a vibrant and supportive environment for children aged 3 to 5 years, where their confidence and creativity can flourish.

As a Preschool Room Leader, you will oversee the daily activities within the preschool room, guiding and mentoring a team of practitioners while ensuring that our educational practices meet the needs of all children. You will be responsible for planning and implementing stimulating and engaging learning experiences that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards.

Your leadership will contribute not only to the development of the children but also to the professional growth of your team. Working closely with parents and families is also a key part of this role, ensuring that we build a strong community around our shared commitment to each child's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preschool team to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
  • Design and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities in line with EYFS.
  • Assess and plan for children's individual needs and provide timely feedback to parents.
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of care and education.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Supervise and develop staff in the preschool room, supporting their professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and nursery policies.
  • Establish positive relationships with families and actively involve them in their children's learning.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification or above in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience working in a preschool setting with children aged 3-5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
