Working arrangement: On-site
Working hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm
Days: 3–5 days per week

Duration: 3-6 months (To be agreed based on availability and/or university requirements)

THE PLACEMENT

This is a hands-on learning placement for someone interested in developing practical experience in fashion PR, press and creator activity.

You will support day-to-day PR work including research, personalised outreach, follow-ups, product gifting and loans, maintaining trackers and supporting activity around new collections.

This is an intern/student placement, not a PR Coordinator position. You are not expected to arrive with an established press or creator network, advanced PR strategy experience or previous professional PR employment.

What matters is that you are curious, organised, responsible, able to communicate clearly and interested in learning how PR works within an independent fashion business.

Relevant experience or examples can come from university, volunteering, part-time work, internships, personal projects, content/community activity or other relevant activities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO & LEARN

During the placement, you may support the team with:

Press & creator research

  • Research relevant journalists, editors, stylists, creators and potential brand partners.

  • Identify contacts whose audience, content and aesthetic are relevant to Glassworks.

  • Maintain accurate contact information and research notes.

  • Learn how to assess relevance beyond follower count or publication size.

Outreach & follow-up

  • Support personalised press and creator outreach.

  • Draft clear, relevant emails and direct messages.

  • Follow up appropriately and professionally.

  • Keep accurate records of outreach, responses and next actions.

  • Develop confidence in professional relationship building.

Product gifting, loans & visits

  • Support product gifting and organic creator activity.

  • Help coordinate product dispatches, press loans and returns where applicable.

  • Maintain accurate product and sample records.

  • Support press or creator store visits where relevant.

  • Help prioritise product where gifting or sample availability is limited.

Collection & PR activity

  • Support PR activity around new collections and launches.

  • Research relevant press and creator opportunities.

  • Help prioritise activity when time or product availability is limited.

  • Support practical campaign organisation and follow-ups.

Tracking & organisation

  • Maintain press, creator, outreach and follow-up trackers.

  • Record contact status, product allocation, important dates and next actions.

  • Help ensure deadlines, returns and follow-ups are not missed.

  • Support tracking of PR, creator and affiliate outcomes where relevant.

Glassworks' creator activity currently focuses primarily on direct product gifting and organic coverage. Creators may subsequently feature Glassworks products through affiliate platforms such as ShopMy, with relevant affiliate activity tracked internally through AWIN. You do not need previous ShopMy or AWIN experience; where relevant, you will learn how this activity fits into the wider PR process.

Through the placement, you will gain practical exposure to fashion PR research, outreach, professional relationship building, product gifting and sample coordination, campaign organisation, prioritisation and the way an independent fashion brand monitors PR and creator activity.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • Genuine interest in fashion PR and independent fashion brands.

  • Clear written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to research accurately and identify relevant information.

  • Good organization and ability to keep track of tasks, deadlines and follow-ups.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to explain the reasoning behind your choices.

  • Ability to prioritize when time, samples or product availability are limited.

  • Willingness to learn, receive feedback and adapt your approach.

  • A responsible and proactive working style.

HELPFUL, BUT NOT REQUIRED

The following may be useful, but they are not requirements:

  • Previous exposure to fashion PR.

  • Social media or creator-related experience.

  • Fashion, PR, communications or marketing university projects.

  • Communications or marketing experience.

  • Retail or fashion-brand experience.

  • Familiarity with creator or affiliate marketing concepts.

  • Previous internship or relevant volunteering experience.

An existing press or influencer/creator network is not required.

We welcome relevant examples from university, employment, volunteering, internships, personal projects or other activities.
