Our focus is to deliver the best possible media value for clients through leveraged media buying, sustainable media income and enable innovation with the supply-side with product, services and capabilities.

Purpose of the Role

You’ll be collaborating with us in our mission to be industry trailblazers in our approach to PR through innovation and integration with other digital marketing functions; reactive PR, content marketing, organic social, creator marketing, OOH – to name just a few.

You’ll be passionate about the media, trending content and cultural affairs and looking to begin your career in PR earning coverage and links from high-tier media.

Your responsibilities in the role will include working alongside PR managers and executives on PR campaign strategies- from press office and reactive PR to campaign-led PR. Within this, you’ll partake in campaign ideation for our brands as well as working on campaign outreach for our clients. This includes owning journalist relationships for enterprise size clients.

What you’ll do

Our client base spans a large pool of industries meaning no two days will look the same for you.

We work with clients of all sizes across home and interior, property, fashion and beauty, finance and legal, travel, leisure and tourism, healthcare, consumer electronics and jewellery – to name a few.

You will be mapped to two to four clients (size dependent) but will retain exposure to the wider pool of industries - to put any relevant sector knowledge and interests to good use – regardless of your client mapping.

This is what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Getting hands-on with the basics of digital PR - supporting onsite content, influencer activity, and reactive ideas.
  • Learning how different teams (design, content, SEO, social) help bring PR campaigns to life.
  • Keeping an eye on what’s happening in the news and online culture and sharing anything interesting that could spark ideas.
  • Helping PR Managers and Execs with early-stage campaign tasks - research, idea development, and general support.
  • Building media lists and learning how to identify the right journalists for different stories.
  • Supporting outreach activity and gaining confidence in pitching stories to media.
  • Writing short, clear pieces of content - from pitch lines to basic press release sections - with guidance from the team. This role requires a lot of writing and so you’ll be a talented writer who can write with minimal to no grammatical mistakes and with the right training, sell a story into the media.
  • Taking feedback positively and using it to grow your skills quickly.

What you’ll bring

These traits help you thrive as you begin your PR career:

  • You enjoy staying plugged into culture, social media, and what people are talking about online.
  • You’re organised, willing to learn, and happy to get stuck into a variety of tasks.
  • You’re ambitious about developing your skills and open to trying new things.
  • You take feedback well and see it as part of the learning process.
  • You show initiative and are comfortable asking questions when you need support.
  • You work well with others and enjoy being part of a collaborative team.
  • You bring care and attention to your work, even when you’re still learning the craft.

What we offer

This is a permanent role. The team is based from our London office on a hybrid-working basis.

At dentsu, we’ve built a benefits package that supports every chapter of your life. From company‑funded Private Medical Insurance, a 24/7 Virtual GP and a generous sick‑pay policy, to wellbeing days, volunteering time, flexible bank‑holiday swaps and great everyday perks like retail discounts, gym access and tech schemes - we make it easier to live well, not just work well.
