Job Description

Are you a visionary product manager equipped to shape the play of the future? 

We are looking for a experienced product manager whose passion is to help children be creative and learn through play. This product manager would be responsible for define our next-generation, technology enabled play experiences as well as partnering with our technology domain teams to deliver world-class, high-quality products that create fun and memorable play moments for children and adults alike.

What you’ll be doing at LEGO:

User Champion - You are the voice of the user inside the team. You will: 

  • Immerse yourself in user insights and trends to develop compelling opportunities in your product area, that deliver value to our users and the business

  • Define the product vision, strategy and roadmaps for your product area and gain buy-in throughout the organization

  • Define and analyse metrics that inform the success of product

  • Understand the financials involved with product development to ensure product decisions are grounded in user and business value

Problem Solver - keen to make things better and up for the challenge of tackling unknowns. You: 

  • Are curious and questioning - not afraid to ask questions to ensure we identify root causes, so that we design the right solutions 

  • Always sees the bigger picture of the product, whilst maintain focus on the right priorities and the right time.

  • Navigating complex requirements and partnering with the team to reach considered decisions throughout the product development cycle.

Stakeholder Manager - working with others seamlessly, hearing their needs, whilst being heard. You: 

  • Communicate user needs, product strategy and roadmaps to a variety of audiences.

  • Share the knowledge by translating the complex into easy-to-understand concepts

  • Craft inspirational demos that covey the product vision and user benefits, whilst keeping the play at the centre.

Delivery – define, build, launch and grow exceptional products

  • Integrate play value, usability studies, research, and market analysis into technical product requirements to deliver playful products.

  • Drive outstanding outcomes at every stage of the cycle – ensuring what gets built is the right thing for our users, done well, and continuously delights our users.

What we are looking for:

  • Significant hands-on product management experience from connected products, consumer electronics robotics or a closely related field 

  • Deep user empathy backed by insight and data

  • Demonstrable experience taken a product from discovery through to launch and beyond.

  • Comfortable working across the tech stack of connected products – Hardware, firmware and platform

  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to frame product decisions in terms of business impact

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. 

  • A bias toward action, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. 

  • Passion for interactive experiences and a strong understanding of user-centered design principles. 

  • Desire to push the bounds of LEGO play into new and unchartered play experiences  

  • Experience with modern product development tools (JIRA, Confluence, JAMA)
