About Us:

ClearRoute is an engineering consultancy bridging Quality Engineering, Cloud Platforms and Developer Experience. We help enterprises reliably bring high-impact digital products to market faster, cheaper, and safer, working with technology leaders facing complex business challenges.

We take as much pride in our people, culture and work-life balance as we do in making better software. We’re not just making better software. We’re making the making of software better. Collaborative, entrepreneurial and dedicated to problem solving, we bring the step change our customer need to sustain innovation. Our values challenge us to do the best we can for ClearRoute, our customers and most importantly our team. This is an opportunity for you to build the organisation from the ground up, use your voice to drive change and help transform organisations and problem domains.

Role:

We’re hiring a talented Engineer who will initially join one of our clients core platform team, building and operating the shared platforms and tooling that support engineering across their entire organisation. You will focus on creating scalable, secure and automated infrastructure, enabling delivery teams to build, test and release software quickly and consistently. This is a hands-on role with real impact across cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain shared cloud platforms and services (primarily Azure)

  • Develop reusable infrastructure and automation using Terraform and scripting

  • Create CI/CD frameworks using tools such as GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy

  • Enable self-service capabilities so teams can deploy and manage workloads independently

  • Support Kubernetes clusters, container platforms, networking and identity integrations

  • Implement guardrails and policies to support security, compliance and scalability

  • Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting and performance standards across the platform

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in engineering workflows and deployment pipelines

  • Work closely with engineering teams to improve tooling, reliability and speed of delivery

  • Support incident triage, including security-related tickets

Required Experience:

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Azure

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)

  • Exposure to scripting (e.g. Bash or similar)

  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines

  • Understanding of modern application stacks (e.g. .NET, C#, React)

  • Experience monitoring systems, applications and cloud environments

  • Ability to support and guide development teams on DevOps practices

Desirable Experience:

  • Familiarity with tools such as GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy or similar

  • Azure

  • AI (there is some work to complete on some skills for generating terraform code, tests, consuming modules, creating diagrams / documentation)
