People Partner

Location: London, UK (Hybrid - Tuesday to Thursday in the office)

Department: People / HR

Reporting to: Head of People

ABOUT NEXGEN CLOUD:

NexGen Cloud is the company behind Hyperstack, a full-stack AI cloud serving tens of thousands of customers from AI researchers to enterprises running the world's most compute-intensive workloads. We deliver on-demand and private GPU infrastructure to teams who treat performance as a requirement, not a feature.

We're a tight-knit, fast-moving team working at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure. We practice what we preach, equipping our people with AI at every level so we can solve harder problems, ship faster, and keep raising the bar for what enterprise GPU infrastructure looks like.

THE ROLE: People Partner

This role exists because our global footprint has grown significantly — spanning Australia, US, UK, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, South Africa and Europe — and the complexity that comes with that growth needs proper People support behind it. You'll have direct ownership of delivering high-quality People Partnering across our technology business units, ensuring managers can lead their teams, manage performance, and navigate employee relations with confidence.

This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility, autonomy, and being a trusted advisor. You'll work closely with another People Partner in a lean team of three, where your impact will be visible and directly linked to business outcomes.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Rather than a long checklist, here's what success in this role looks like:

  • Own and drive employee relations support across your aligned technology business units — probation reviews, PIPs, conduct processes — providing expert, pragmatic guidance throughout
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, using strong influencing skills to guide data-led decision-making and drive fair outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with line managers across multiple regions, coaching them to confidently handle people matters and build stronger teams
  • Build and execute robust onboarding and induction processes, including contracts, referencing, and background checks across employees, contractors, and EOR populations
  • Identify opportunities to improve and scale People processes in a growing, global environment — ensuring consistency and compliance across jurisdictions
  • Maintain operational excellence across core People processes, with high standards in documentation, compliance, and employee lifecycle management
  • Contribute to broader People initiatives, bringing ideas and taking ownership beyond your core remit
ABOUT YOU:

We're more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV. You'll likely bring a combination of the following:

Essential
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification
  • Proven experience in a People Partner or HRBP role, with a strong track record supporting managers through employee relations matters
  • Experience in a global or multi-region organisation with complex workforce structures — direct employees, contractors, and EOR arrangements
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and constructively challenge stakeholders
  • Experience managing onboarding processes end-to-end, including contracts, referencing, and background checks
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting technology or engineering teams
  • Experience scaling People processes in a growing business
  • Familiarity with employment practices across multiple jurisdictions
WHAT WE OFFER:
  • Competitive salary and annual discretionary bonus scheme
  • Employee wellbeing benefits
  • 25 days of holiday, plus public holidays
  • Flexible working arrangements (remote or hybrid, depending on role and location)
  • Real ownership and autonomy, with the trust to take initiative and experiment
  • The opportunity to make a visible, meaningful impact as we scale
  • Clear career progression and growth opportunities in a fast-growing company
  • A collaborative, international culture built on trust, transparency, and ownership
  • The chance to help shape NexGen Cloud's team, culture, and future alongside ambitious, mission-driven colleagues
