Mission

Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear.
In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives.

About Neko Health

Neko Health is a Swedish healthcare technology company founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek. Our mission is to redesign healthcare by shifting the focus from reactive treatment to proactive and preventive care.

We are building a new kind of healthcare experience designed to help people stay ahead of their health. By combining medical expertise with breakthrough technology, we make it possible to quickly and non-invasively gather a broad picture of a person's health and deliver clear insights within minutes.

Headquartered in Stockholm and New York, Neko Health offers the Neko Body Scan experience across Europe and the US, supported by a growing team of people working to transform how healthcare is delivered.

Why this role exists

Commercial, Creative, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Neko are in the process of being built. All are in some stage of build or scale, and there's no established playbook to lean on internally. This role exists to build the people foundation for a genuinely new function.

This is one of the most senior People roles at HQ outside the Global People Lead itself, and it needs someone who has done this before: standing up or scaling a function from the ground up, ideally within marketing, creative, communications or another brand-driven, externally facing domain. Deep domain expertise in organisational design, operating model design and workforce planning is the core of this job.

What you'll doBuild the people foundation for Creative, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs teams
  • Lead workforce planning and organisational design for Creative, Marketing, Corporate Comms and Public Affairs, role clarity, resourcing decisions and structural recommendations, building the function to support where it is today and where it's headed

  • Design a structure, levelling framework and operating model built specifically for the function's needs as it grows

  • Build a fully resourced, clearly structured function ahead of permanent leadership arriving, so they can lead from day one

Be the strategic partner to leadership teams

  • Serve as the primary strategic partner to Commercial, Creative, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs leadership teams, translating business strategy into people priorities, programmes and operating plans

  • Coach and challenge leaders on the decisions that shape the organisation they'll be running next year, thinking a step ahead of today's priorities

  • Bring genuine build and scale-up expertise to functions that are still forming

Champion Neko's culture and Vitals

  • Partner with these teams' leaders to embed Neko's cultural Vitals into how their teams actually operate day to day

  • Help leaders translate the Vitals into practical behaviours and decisions across Commercial, Creative, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs

  • Build the rituals and feedback loops that keep culture genuinely lived as these functions scale

Drive talent management for the leaders

  • Working in partnership with the Growth & Engagement team to drive leadership development, performance and engagement for Creative, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs teams

  • Advise on compensation, mobility and promotions in partnership with Reward & Enablement, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness as the function scales

Lead change and manage risk

  • Lead and sponsor change initiatives that affect Commercial, Creative, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs structures, owning scope, timeline, stakeholder engagement and change readiness from start to finish

  • Manage complex employee relations matters, coordinating with Legal and People colleagues to resolve issues with discretion and confidentiality

  • Spot strain or risk early, particularly around brand and reputation-sensitive teams, where people decisions carry real public visibility

Bring deep domain expertise

  • Apply real operating-model and organisation-design expertise built specifically for brand-driven, externally facing functions

  • Work with leaders across Creative, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs to understand where things are still taking shape, and use that to decide what these functions need next

  • Deliver people analytics and actionable insights that turn data into clear, decision-ready recommendations

  • Work with the Global People Lead on what “built well” looks like for a function with no established precedent at Neko

  • Experience evaluating how AI informs talent decisions and org design, bringing the judgement to design with AI as a genuine participant in how roles and structures should look, actively shaping the work itself.

What you bring
  • Deep, hands-on experience across organisational design, operating model design and workforce planning, built specifically through standing up or scaling a function from an early stage

  • A track record of building or scaling a function from the ground up, ideally within marketing, creative, communications or another brand-driven, externally facing domain

  • Experience owning leadership development and performance calibration outcomes for a senior leadership population

  • A track record of personally leading change initiatives end to end: scope, timeline, and stakeholder engagement

  • A genuine passion for culture and values, with experience helping leaders embed them into how their teams actually work

  • Demonstrable experience in senior HR Business Partner, People Partner, or People/HR leadership roles at Director level or above

  • A track record of partnering with and influencing senior functional leaders on complex, high-stakes organisational decisions, operating with genuine autonomy as an independent decision-maker

  • Fluent with people data and actively using AI in your own work

  • Working knowledge of employment law relevant to creative and marketing talent markets, with the judgement to know when to bring in specialist expertise
