At Encord, we are focused on building the future of AI infrastructure. Data quality is the biggest challenge facing AI companies today. In fact, the success of any AI application depends on the quality of the model's training data — and for 95% of teams, this essential step is both the most costly and the most time-consuming, in getting their product to market.

As former computer scientists, physicists, and quants, we experienced firsthand the lack of tools for preparing quality training data, which hindered the progress of building AI for many teams. We founded Encord to address this gap and propel the next generation of AI applications.

We are a talented and ambitious team of 75+, working at the cutting edge of multimodal and visual AI, backed by top investors, including CRV and Y Combinator, leading industry executives like Luc Vincent, former VP of AI at Meta, and other top Bay Area leaders in AI. We are one the fastest growing companies in our space, and consistently rated as the best tool in the market by our customers.

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated People & Operations Associate to join our growing team. As a key member of the Encord Operations Team, you will play an important role in bringing new colleagues on board and driving existing processes forward to achieve our goals together. This is a unique opportunity to shape the People Operations function at a high-growth global company and to contribute to exceptional employee experiences.

What you'll do:

- Be the primary point of contact for all employee inquiries, with responsibilities ranging from ordering tech equipment for new joiners to setting employees up on our systems (Slack, G-Drive, etc.) and responding to questions about visas, policies, etc.

- Define and develop the end-to-end HR processes for new starters, all applicable changes, and leavers.

- Handle all necessary documentation and employee data management.

- Maintain a strong knowledge of HR processes, tools, and our HR platform to assist employees efficiently.

- Oversee day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, office management, and office supplies procurement to ensure a well-functioning and efficient workplace.

- Organise and manage company events and socials, ensuring all logistics are handled smoothly and the events promote team cohesion and morale.

- Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives.

- Support the wider team with operational support.

About you:

- Managing multiple work priorities while delivering people solutions at a high-growth pace.

- Ability to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams in a company.

- Ability to problem solve and come up with innovative solutions to problems.

- Previous experience in HR operations and experience overseeing employee onboarding logistics.

What We Offer:

- 25 days annual leave a year + public holidays.

- Competitive salary and equity in a hyper-growth business.

- Strong in-person culture: most of our team is in the office 3+ days a week.

- Room to grow into anything you choose to — a year ago we were 25 people, now we're 60. We'll be growing insanely fast over the next 24 months and you'll have all the opportunities for growth as you can handle.

Encord offers a unique opportunity to be part of a startup with a clear mission and vision. You will get to explore and build services enterprise AI use cases across many different industry verticals such as healthcare, surveillance, retail, agriculture, and more.
