This role provides comprehensive, efficient and effective HR administrative support to the People Operations team and wider business within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will build and maintain effective working relationships across the business, while actively supporting key HR initiatives and the consistent delivery of core HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle. 

You will provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and processes, applying sound judgement and recognising when issues require escalation. Bringing strong HR administration skills and exceptional attention to detail, you will take ownership of core People processes, proactively raise potential compliance issues, and help ensure they are resolved or escalated appropriately. 

This is a hands-on role for a highly organised, proactive, and dependable administrator who takes pride in getting the detail right. You will manage competing priorities, follow through on actions, and look for smarter ways of working by suggesting process improvements and making effective use of AI tools to improve accuracy and service delivery.


Duties include (but are not limited to): 


  • Manage on-boarding and off-boarding processes, including pre/ post new joiner logistics, right to work processing, digital file management, employee eligibility and entitlements, holidays, first/ last day processes, coordination and delivery of HR induction 
  • Management of People Operations inboxes, responding/ fielding enquiries from in/ outside the business in a timely manner 
  • Manage sickness absence cases, including short-term and long-term absence, return-to-work processes, occupational health referrals, and reasonable adjustments.  
  • Coordinate family-friendly processes, and provide employees and managers with clear guidance on relevant policies and procedures. 
  • Responsibility for co-ordination of monthly payroll process including collation of data and production of reports/ documents 
  • Maintenance of holiday and absence system/ records across the UK  
  • Coordination of employee/ company benefit data/ schemes 
  • Creation and maintenance of accurate employee records/ changes to employment information/ payroll changes / data across HR/ business systems 
  • Coordination of vendor/ supplier documentation and invoice management 
  • Liaising with freelancers, contractors and third party vendors 
  • Creation and delivery of analytical data/ reports 
  • Involvement in HR projects as required 

Skills Required 

 

  • Workday familiarity (highly desirable) or experience with comparable HRIS.  
  • Experience working in a fast-paced HR Operations environment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to see the bigger picture and understand the impact of decisions. 
  • Calm, supportive demeanour; able to steady the team in a fast-moving environment.  
  • Strong multitasking, prioritisation, and time-management skills. 
  • Proven discretion when handling sensitive information. 
  • Confident stakeholder manager with solid business acumen. 
  • First-class attention to detail and commitment to exceptional, customer-focused service. 
  • Problem-solver who spots root causes and proposes practical fixes. 
  • Advanced MS 365 skills (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint). 
  • Confident and appropriate use of AI tools, including validating outputs for accuracy.
