Job title: People & Finance Systems Developer

Location: London

Salary: £45,600 - £60,000

Team: People & Finance

Reporting To: People Operations & Reward Director

This role requires an existing right to work in the UK. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship at this time. We encourage you to keep an eye on our careers site to stay informed about future opportunities where we are able to offer visa sponsorship.

Kaluza is the Energy Intelligence Platform. We help energy companies manage complexity in real time — orchestrating decisions across homes, grids, EV charging and energy markets. We work with OVO, AGL, ENGIE, Volvo and Volkswagen, with teams across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.

Our People and Finance teams are at the heart of how Kaluza operates, and we think AI is going to fundamentally change what's possible for both functions. We're looking for a People & Finance Systems Developer to be at the centre of that change.

Working closely with both teams, you’ll help identify where AI can make the biggest impact and build the tools to make it happen. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own your solutions from the initial idea to the live AI-powered production system.

What will I be doing?

  • Design, build and deploy AI-powered workflows using modern agentic LLMs (Anthropic, Gemini) to genuinely transform how our People and Finance teams work.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders in People and Finance teams to understand their challenges, build solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into the tools our People and Finance teams use every day, from Workday and Greenhouse to Slack, Jira, and Google Workspace.
  • Be a genuine advocate for AI adoption across People and Finance, helping the team build confidence and use it effectively and responsibly.

About You

  • Practical experience building systems, tools, or automations, whether that comes from a previous job or from working on your own passion projects.
  • A hands-on curiosity about AI. You've experimented with modern LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini) and built real things with them, whether workflows, tools, or agents.
  • Comfortable connecting systems and automating workflows through APIs. You know your way around an integration.
  • A genuine interest in how People and Finance operations work, with a desire to understand the bigger picture and build things that truly matter to the people using them.
  • You communicate clearly and with empathy, and genuinely enjoy sharing what you've built and why it matters.
  • You take data privacy, security, and responsible AI seriously. Not because you have to, but because you understand why it matters.
