 The Role

We’re looking for a People & Culture Business Partner who is equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up their sleeves to solve problems. Someone who takes the time to understand the business, builds strong relationships with leaders and employees and brings thoughtful, practical solutions to people challenges.

In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders while keeping the employee experience front and center. You’ll partner closely with teams across the company to help build a high-performing organization, strengthen engagement, develop talent, and foster a culture where people can do their best work.This is a role for someone who enjoys navigating complexity, connecting dots across the organization and finding ways to make both people and the business more successful.

What You’ll Do

  • Build strong partnerships with leaders and teams, providing thoughtful guidance on people-related opportunities and challenges while staying true to Morningstar’s culture and values
  • Help leaders think through organizational design, workforce planning, talent needs, and team effectiveness to support both current priorities and future growth
  • Partner with managers and employees on coaching, development, performance conversations, recognition and career growth
  • Bring together the right expertise from across People & Culture, including Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and other specialists to deliver practical and scalable solutions
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the People & Culture team globally to improve processes, share best practices, and strengthen the impact of our work
  • Support leaders in creating highly engaged teams where employees feel connected, valued and empowered to do their best work
  • Implement global People & Culture programs and practices in a way that reflects the needs of your business unit while maintaining consistency across Morningstar
  • Foster an environment of trust, accountability, learning and continuous improvement
  • Act as a connector, coach and problem solver, helping leaders and employees navigate change, overcome obstacles and achieve success together

 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience as a business partner
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence, and own outcomes
  • Experience advising managers on performance management, employee development, engagement, organizational effectiveness, employee relations and workforce planning
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting global or matrixed organizations.
  • Experience partnering with Centers of Excellence, including Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Global Mobility, Immigration, and Employee Relations.
  • Experience leading organizational change, engagement, or talent initiatives.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Total Cash Compensation Range

$121,400.00-186,150.00

Inclusive of annual base salary and target incentive
