Frontier Economics is an economics consultancy that tackles the big questions facing governments, businesses and society. We help our clients to analyse and understand their markets and to formulate strategies based on sound economics. The methods and models we use are often complex, but our advice is always succinct, clear and honest

The People team is responsible for the design and delivery of the People strategy across Europe. The team incorporates Recruitment and Onboarding, HR Business Partnership and Learning and Development, working in close partnership with the wider Frontier business and stakeholders.

The Role:

We’re looking for a People Advisor to join our collaborative and friendly People Team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll work closely with colleagues across all our European offices, providing HR advice, guidance, and hands-on support.

As a key point of contact within the team, you’ll help create a positive and consistent employee experience - from onboarding new joiners to supporting employees and managers through key milestones such as probation, secondments, and exits.

In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, People Advisors also contribute to wider HR initiatives and projects across the full People and HR agenda to help drive continuous improvement and support our people strategy.

What You’ll Do:

HR and Information Systems:

  • Act as a Workday super-user, supporting colleagues to use the system effectively and maintaining high data standards.
  • Conduct basic HR data analysis (e.g. turnover, headcount, key metrics) and present insights clearly for stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of systems and reporting processes to enhance data quality and accessibility.

HR Advice and Guidance:

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance on Frontier’s policies and processes across all offices.
  • Draft clear and engaging HR communications, including employee guidance and policy updates, ensuring information is accurate and accessible.
  • Support consistent application of policies, escalating complex queries to People Leads where needed.
  • Deliver key People processes effectively, ensuring communication is clear, responsive, and employee-focused.

Employee Lifecycle:

  • Take shared ownership of core People processes, ensuring they are well-managed and deliver a great experience for staff.
  • Manage the probation process, ensuring timely communication, documentation, and outcomes.
  • Support the staff survey, encouraging participation, analysing results, and helping share key insights.
  • Lead on employee exits, overseeing leaver communications, exit interviews, and feedback collection.
  • Provide guidance on visas and right-to-work checks, ensuring compliance and smooth coordination.
  • Coordinate secondments across offices, ensuring clear communication and consistency.
  • Deliver a seamless onboarding and induction experience for all new joiners, from offers to first day.
  • Ensure all HR administration (e.g. contract amendments, letters) is accurate and completed on time.
What Success Looks Like:
  • Consistently meeting team Service Level Agreements – delivering a timely, high quality and professional set of services.
  • You’ve built trusted relationships across the firm and are recognised as approachable, proactive, and supportive.
  • You receive positive feedback on your responsiveness, professionalism, and people-centred approach.
  • You manage People processes effectively — they run smoothly, are well-organised, and deliver consistent, positive outcomes for staff.
Essential:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences and styles.
  • Strong digital and analytical skills; confident with Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to present basic data clearly.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and manage a varied workload.
  • Strong relationship-building skills; enjoys connecting with people and occasionally travelling to other offices.
  • Fluent in English (C2).

Desirable:

  • Experience as an HR Administrator, People Advisor, or similar, or a relevant HR qualification.
  • Experience using HR systems, ideally Workday.
  • Additional language skills (German, French, or Spanish at C1/C2).
