Scientist – Development Services

Location: Slough, UK

Join our dynamic Development Services team in Slough, where you will contribute to high-quality experimental work in Purification Development and Viral Clearance. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across projects, develop your technical expertise, and support the delivery of innovative solutions for our customers.

What you will do:
  • Execute and deliver your own laboratory projects, ensuring high standards for safety, quality, and timeliness.
  • Support Purification Development and Viral Clearance, including standard purification experiments, chromatography, filtration, and stability studies.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional project teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present reports and dashboards for internal teams and customers.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, sharing knowledge and laboratory best practices.
  • Critically analyze data to support quality-driven decision-making.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, equipment maintenance, and operational excellence activities.
What we are looking for:
  • BSc in a relevant scientific or technical discipline; laboratory experience preferred.
  • Business fluent in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in experimental design, data collection, and analysis; understanding of DOE is a plus.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with GMP and relevant standards.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to present complex scientific data clearly.
  • Enthusiasm for learning, developing expertise, and supporting team growth.
