Job Description

Payroll Administrator

12 month FTC - Monday to Friday

Valeo Foods in Pontefract have a new 12 month Fixed Term Contract role for a Payroll Administrator . 

This role is initially to be based 2/3 days per week at our site in Pontefract with a view move to a Leed’s location once confirmed

Reporting to the HR Services and Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the administration and processing of multiple payrolls supporting sites across the UK. Working alongside the HR Services and Payroll team you will be a key player, proactive in your approach, helping to align and standardise payroll processes companywide.

  • Responsible for the monthly payroll processing of assigned areas including the timely submission of RTI and general monthly ad-hoc payroll duties.
  • Liaise closely with HR to ensure all payroll adjustments are processed promptly and be the first point of contact for queries.
  • Manage monthly pension administration.
  • Create and issue all letters to leavers who have been overpaid.
  • Ensure all legal requirements and deadlines are met (i.e., PAYE & NI payments & documentation, P60's, Attachment of Earning payments, etc.)
  • Make certain that the payroll function meets its obligation in relation to GDPR and actively look for ways to streamline processes to ensure efficiency of service.
  • Build strong relationships across all sites with key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring accuracy in everything you do to support the excellent payroll services.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Payroll
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • Proficient in payroll software
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Benefits in Kind experience

Desirable:

  • CIPP qualification (or working towards).
  • Knowledge of Payroll reporting tools
