Senior Supplier Management Lead – E-7 UK (Hybrid)

Boeing is searching for a Senior Supplier Management Lead – E-7 UK AMS Modification programme in Birmingham, UK.

This role will have responsibility across the E-7 UK AMS Modification Programme for aligning supplier contracts, supplier relationships and supplier performance. It will support the modification programme leadership in a consolidated approach to managing key supplier performance.  This is a supply chain leadership role and will report to BDUK Supplier Management & Procurement Manager – Major Subcontracts & Integrated Product Teams, working closely with BDS E-7 Senior Supply Chain Manager and E-7 AMS UK Modification Leader.

This role is required to be on-site on average of 3 days a week.

Please note the role is not an executive role but individual contributor.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent E-7 Fixed Wing Supply Chain Management as the key on-site interface between the E-7 UK and USAF Programmes and STS Aviation Services. This would include preparing for and attending key programme, supplier and modification leadership drumbeat meetings on behalf of Supply Chain Management.

  • Lead procurement activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services, developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis and development of contracts.

  • Key point of escalation for all on-site issues raised within the AMS Modification programme that relate to Supplier Management and working with BDS Supplier Management to resolve those issues.

  • Manage changes to any of the Supply Chain baselines established for the AMS Modification programme.

  • Leads and reporting on the performance of the total AMS Modification programme supplier to meet prime contract obligations. This includes compiling meaningful supplier metrics that enable the modification leadership team to make decisions.

  • Managing the performance of STS Aviation Services to contract requirements and RAA as an on-site representative of Supply Chain Management, as well as the key focal for managing the STS relationship.

  • Monitoring and mitigating key AMS Modification programme risks, issues and opportunities related to supply chain.

  • Build and sustain positive relationships, influence key stakeholders, customers and suppliers – specifically STS Aviation Services and BDS supplier.

  • Integrating with stakeholders across Boeing Defence, Space & Security (BDS), Boeing Global Services, and teams in the UK, Australia and the US

  • Promote our continued drive for supply chain excellence, focusing on contract performance, governance, continuous improvement, safety and quality.

  • Adept practitioner of Seek, Speak and Listen/Psychological Safety principles across all activities whether people or programme focused.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 7+ years Supply Chain experience.

  • Demonstrated experience working within dynamic global supply chains.

  • Experience in executing acquisition or sustainment projects within MRO industry

  • Experience in managing major subcontracts with large organisations.

  • Dynamic, innovative and like to think outside the box;

  • Able to communicate, influence and engage a diverse group of engineering and programme management professionals

  • An advocate for diversity and inclusion and will be actively involved in leading change;

  • An excellent communicator who can engage and motivate diverse and geographically dispersed teams;

  • Outcome focused and demonstrates strong values-based leadership.

  • Active UK security clearance

 

This position requires a UK security Clearance for which the UK Government requires UK residency.

Desired Qualifications and Experience: (nice to have)

  • Experience in senior roles within a matrix organisation
  • University degree preferred

  • E-7 or Boeing 737 Product Knowledge

  • Experience supporting execution for UK government contract
