About Verto

At Verto, we're on a mission to democratise global finance and empower businesses in Emerging Markets to reach the world. Founded by British-Nigerian entrepreneurs Ola Oyetayo and Anthony Oduu, our roots in Africa provided a firsthand understanding of the significant challenges businesses face with cross-border payments, ranging from illiquid currencies and high fees to slow transactions. This deep-rooted insight is why Africa remains a core focus, as we're committed to bridging the gap between emerging and developed markets and fostering global economic growth.

What started as an FX solution for the Nigerian Naira has evolved into a market-leading platform, enabling thousands of businesses to seamlessly transfer billions of dollars annually. We believe that where you do business shouldn’t determine your success or ability to scale. We're creating equal access to the easy payment and liquidity solutions that are already a given in developed markets.

We're not alone in realising this crucial need; we're backed by world-class investors including Y-Combinator, Quona, and MEVP. With Verto receiving the Milken-Motsepe Prize, appearing on CNBCs list of fastest growing UK companies, the Deloitte Fast 50 and Sifted’s fastest-growing UK tech companies, we are building a seamless cross-border payment future.

Join us as we continue to grow and transform global finance.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Partnerships Manager to join Verto as a foundational member of our partnerships function. This is a high-impact role where you will build and scale our partner program and ecosystem from the ground up. You will be required to source, acquire and manage a pipeline of high-impact referral partners that contribute directly to customer acquisition and revenue generation for the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will need to build and own a pipeline of high-impact referral partners across two key motions:

  1. Commercial Referral Partners (The "Program Play")

  • Hunt & Acquire: Identify and sign high-value referral partners (FX brokers, Corporate Service Providers, Accounting and Tax Advisories, VCs, Accelerators) that cater to businesses trading in Verto’s key markets.

  • Activate & Monetise: Turn signed agreements into active partners that fit into Verto’s Ideal Partner Profile (IPP) and that have extensive networks of Verto’s target customers. Work directly with these partners to generate regular and successful referrals of customers that fit Verto’s ICP.

  • Partner Enablement & Management: Provide partners with the right assets, training, incentives and tools to build successful referral relationships and ensure a best-in-class partner experience.

  1. Product Referral Partners (The "Alliance Play")

  • Hunt & Acquire: Scout, engage and acquire third-party platforms (Accounting & Bookkeeping Platforms, Orchestration Platforms & Networks, ERPs, Procurement Software) where they can refer customers and volume to Verto via their platform.

  • Activate & Launch: Work closely with the respective Product and Engineering teams to scope, build, and launch key integrations.

  • Adoption & Scale: Successfully launch the integrations with product partners and drive adoption among their user base.

  • Partner Enablement & Management: Provide partners with the right technical and commercial support to ensure successful integrations and partnerships.

What You Need:
  • Experience: 5+ years in partnerships, business development, or B2B sales within Fintech, SaaS, or Cross-border Payments & FX.

  • Commercial Acumen: You are comfortable negotiating and closing commercial agreements, with revenue share terms and custom pricing.

  • Technical Acumen: You can lead required integration work, partnering with Product and Engineering teams, to launch and successfully scale product partnerships.

  • Hunter Mentality: You actively seek out, manage and close deals and new opportunities. You have experience building and executing on a successful pipeline of commercial and product referral partners.

  • Operational Clarity: You can effectively handle complexity and chaos across multiple potential partners and organise them into a clear, prioritised, and strong pipeline - with the help of CRM tools (i.e. HubSpot, Salesforce).
