Country Life, one of Britain's most iconic and influential heritage brands, is seeking a Partnerships New Business Director to drive commercial growth across our publishing and events portfolio.

This newly created senior role is a rare opportunity to shape, sell, and deliver high-value sponsorship and partnership opportunities that celebrate the world of luxury, country living, heritage, and culture — all through the trusted voice of Country Life.

What you'll be doing

As Partnerships New Business Director, you will play a leading role in developing and commercialising creative partnership opportunities from concept to market. You'll work hand-in-hand with our editorial and creative teams to build standout branded content opportunities, sponsorships, and event activations that resonate with our discerning audience.

You will use your strong network within the UK luxury market to forge long-term relationships with clients and agencies to bring in new business. You'll be out in market at least seven times a week, proactively engaging with clients and developing meaningful partnerships valued at £50k+.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial you will work along side vertical sales leads, editorial, and events teams, you will bring bold commercial ideas to life — from bespoke content franchises to high-profile sponsorships — helping shape the future growth of this iconic brand.

This role will lead the development and execution of Country Life's creative partnership strategy, driving advertising revenue through branded content, sponsorships, and bespoke partnership solutions. You'll be responsible for creating and pitching innovative, insight-led proposals that span multiple platforms — including print, digital, social, video, audio, events, and influencer collaborations — while identifying new and non-endemic opportunities to expand Country Life's commercial reach.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
  • Proven experience in media partnerships, sponsorship, or branded content within the UK luxury market.
  • A strong track record of developing and winning high-value commercial deals (£50k+).
  • Skilled at crafting integrated creative solutions across multiple media channels — digital, print, video, audio, social, and live events.
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, with experience shaping go-to-market plans from concept to delivery.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills — confident engaging senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
