Partnership Lead 

We’re seeking an experienced Partnership Lead to join our expanding Commercial team as we continue to grow and diversify our offerings in the UK market. 

 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the commercial and strategic success of a high-profile partnership with a global brand, supporting the launch of multiple co-branded propositions in the UK credit card space. Your focus will be on driving mutual success and long-term value for both parties. 

 

You’ll collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, gaining hands-on ownership and influence across a fast-scaling business and credit card programme. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise across all facets of commercial management in a dynamic and high-growth environment. 

 

Travel Requirements: At JaJa we worked dynamically to allow you to balance both work and your personal life. We work in our London office 3 days a week, with occasional travel to partner sites across the UK and abroad – You can determine which days suit you best. 

 

Key Accountabilities:  

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for our co-brand partner, ensuring seamless coordination across Operations, Commercial, Analytics, and Technology subject matter experts. 
  • Define and drive the product’s growth strategy in collaboration with the client, focusing on new customer acquisition and repeat usage, while aligning partner goals with JaJa’s strategic objectives. 
  • Develop actionable plans to enhance the product and provide strategic insights to the Product team to inform roadmap priorities. 
  • Champion the programme internally by advocating for investment and prioritisation of key initiatives, and ensuring their successful delivery. 
  • Lead proposition development and iteration through testing and customer/partner feedback, working closely with Product and R&D to elevate customer experience and product performance. 
  • Own programme reporting and governance, including weekly trading updates and monthly reviews for stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Support budget planning and management, identifying opportunities and risks to optimise portfolio performance, with commercial oversight of marketing spend versus return. 

 

Essential skills and Experience  

  • Proven experience managing co-branded or partnership credit card programmes in the UK, or relevant international markets. 
  • Strong background in marketing within regulated industries—ideally consumer credit—with a solid understanding of Financial Promotions regulations. 
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to interpret diverse data sources to build performance narratives and inform decision-making. This includes channel metrics, digital analytics, risk and decisioning data, and on-book performance metrics. 
  • Experience in marketing or proposition development within travel or hospitality sectors is a plus. 
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels, both internally and externally. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing large budgets and third-party relationships. 
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with a track record of delivering initiatives in fast-paced environments by coordinating across Product, Customer, Credit Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Finance teams. 
  • Passionate about JaJa’s mission to become the UK’s digital lender of choice, and motivated to deliver outstanding outcomes for customers and partners. 
  • Experience in the airline and airline loyalty sector is preferred.
