Role Overview 

The Paid Social Account Manager is responsible for the successful delivery, optimisation, and growth of paid social campaigns across WPP Media clients. This role owns daytoday client relationships, leads campaign activation, and manages junior team members while ensuring bestinclass performance and service. 

The Account Manager plays a critical role in translating client objectives into effective paid social strategies, driving performance through platform expertise, and embedding WPP Media’s ways of working across all activity. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Client Leadership & Account Management 

  • Act as the daytoday client contact for paid social activity, building strong and trusted relationships. 
  • Lead regular status calls, performance reviews, and campaign readouts with clear and confident communication. 
  • Translate client briefs and business objectives into effective paid social strategies and activation plans. 
  • Manage client expectations, timelines, budgets, and deliverables across all campaigns. 

 

Paid Social Strategy & Activation 

  • Lead the setup, activation, and ongoing optimisation of paid social campaigns across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and X. 
  • Own budget management, pacing, and optimisation strategies to ensure campaigns deliver against agreed KPIs. 
  • Develop audience, creative, and testing strategies to continuously improve performance. 
  • Apply platform best practices and governance standards across all activity. 

 

Performance & Reporting 

  • Oversee the production of highquality performance reports that clearly articulate results, insights, and recommendations. 
  • Analyse campaign data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and proactively act on findings. 
  • Present performance summaries and strategic recommendations to clients with confidence and clarity. 
  • Ensure accurate tracking, documentation, and financial reconciliation across accounts. 

 

Team Management & Collaboration 

  • Line manage, mentor, and support Account Executives and/or Senior Executives, ensuring high standards of delivery. 
  • Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of campaign quality and performance. 
  • Work closely with planning, creative, data, and analytics teams to deliver integrated solutions. 
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and bestpractice development within the Paid Social team. 

 

Skills & Experience 

Essential 

  • Proven experience managing paid social campaigns within an agency or performance marketing environment. 
  • Handson expertise across major paid social platforms, particularly Meta and TikTok. 
  • Strong understanding of performance metrics, optimisation levers, and testing frameworks. 
  • Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and budgets effectively. 

 

Desirable 

  • Experience linemanaging or mentoring junior team members. 
  • Platform certifications (Meta, TikTok, etc.). 
  • Experience working with large or complex client accounts.
