ROLE DESCRIPTION

As an Owner Researcher, you will be focusing on the largest owners within the commercial real estate industry, capturing market-critical information that enables our clients to make informed, high impact business decisions regarding the largest property owners across the world. CoStar Group’s research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, helping businesses open offices, stores, and warehouse and manufacturing facilities. With 24 million people visiting Costar’s websites each month, every day our research helps our clients make informed investment decisions. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a deep understanding of the top owners and developers within commercial real estate.

• Track new and existing developments, expansions, renovations, and property transactions for all assigned companies on an ongoing basis.

• Dive into the largest owners and developers to gain a deep understanding of their company structure. The details of the company’s background, subsidiaries, and ethos.

• Analyze websites and public filings to flesh out an owner’s full portfolio of properties

• Monitor quarterly conference calls, financial supplements, and investor presentations for additional property details that may not be disclosed otherwise.

• Effectively build and maintain relationships with owners and developers, including investor relations contacts and members of acquisition or asset management teams at each company.

• Work closely with other internal departments cohesively to support their wider goals (sales, market research, News, etc.)

• Meet with clients to showcase the work undertaken to support their business, grow relationships, and act as a first point of contact for assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience

• 2 years+ Experience in a related real estate role

• Excellent communication skills, ability to deal with people at all levels of seniority.

• Demonstrate a strong interest in the commercial real estate industry.

• Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter and develop basic formulas

• Natural curiosity, persistence, and ability to conduct thorough investigative research

• Proven success performing to metrics or key performance indicators (KPI)
