Contract: 12 month fixed term contract

Working hours: 35 hours per week is full time. Where possible, we are open to considering part time/flexible working patterns. Please let us know in your application your desired working pattern.

Salary: From £60,045 - £72,000

Location: London

Reporting to: Director of Culture and People Experience

About Us:

The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital role in UK financial services. Every day we help resolve disputes between consumers, or small businesses, and their financial service providers.

What You’ll Do:

The Organisation & Workforce Transformation Partner will provide leadership on the people and organisational change required to deliver the Modernising Redress programme for the Financial Ombudsman Service, working across the organisation and alongside the review of our Enabling Functions.

This role is accountable for translating transformation and organisation design activity into clear, deliverable workforce change and cultural change including the leadership of formal employee consultation and redundancy processes.

The Organisation & Workforce Transformation Partner will ensure that workforce impacts are fully understood, risks are managed, and change is delivered at pace in a way that is legally robust, consistent and aligned to organisational priorities.

This role bridges the gap between cultural change, organisation design, programme delivery and employee relations, enabling the organisation to move confidently from design into implementation.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to show us that you’ve got the skills and capabilities. You’ll have to meet the following minimum criteria:

Minimum Criteria –

  • Available to start in a new role from August 2026.

  • Significant professional experience of leading organisation‑wide people and workforce change in a complex organisation.

  • Demonstrated experience of delivering formal consultation and redundancy processes linked to organisation design or transformation activity.

  • Strong understanding of employment relations and employment law as they apply to large‑scale change.

  • Experience undertaking change impact analysis and workforce transition planning across multiple teams or functions.

  • Experience of working with, influencing and advising senior leaders through complex and sensitive workforce change.

  • Experience of working cross collaboratively. You enjoy working with various stakeholder groups as well as peer HR colleagues.
