Job Description:

Operations Team Leader

Shift is Monday to Friday working 0130-1000 (40 hours)

Based at Marken Ltd, 648 River Gardens, Feltham, TW14 0RB

To manage and control the import/export of all shipments in/out of trans shipping through the UK.

Ensure all shipments are processed and dispatch in time to meet the relevant airline departure.

By controlling the imports/exports aim to improve the external working relationship with the handling facilities, overseas offices, and a clear communication line with other departments within the London branch.

Ensure the correct job process flow is maintained and customs entries are filed accordingly for record purposes.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Warehouse and Security Manager, this person will be responsible for successfully supporting the import/export/warehouse and transport operations function.

Label and prepare shipments for export (some heavy lifting may be required)

Provide clear and accurate information regarding the handling of the shipments especially when shipments are delayed.

Communicate with customer services and transport regarding the collection of shipments back to the LON office.

Communicate with other Marken offices and overseas agents to confirm receipt of the pre-alert information.

Communicate with airlines and handling facilities.

Primary function is to gather the information required to export the shipment so that the transit time can be achieved.

Reporting to the warehouse and security manager, this person will be responsible for successfully supporting the export/import/warehouse and transport function.

Manage the receipt of all outbound shipments daily to ensure that shipments are processed and dispatched to the airlines and client sites to meet the respective cut-off times.

Provide clear and accurate information regarding the handling of the shipments especially when shipments are delayed.

Control sheet and file management to ensure the information is complete and accurate.

Manage warehouse operational area and staff on site.

Import/export experience preferable but desirable.
