Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6am–6pm, you’ll help manage driver and vehicle schedules, keep systems up to date, and support the wider team to ensure everything is planned accurately and runs on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Vehicle Off Road (VOR) events within the scheduling system, liaising with the Fleet Controller to ensure all unavailable assets are accurately recorded
- Manage all driver training requests, ensuring these are correctly entered and reflected within the scheduling system
- Plan and schedule all vehicle maintenance and workshop events to ensure all planned events are adhered to and delivered into the workshops on time for the planned event
- Confirm all driver overtime one day in advance and cancel any overtime impacted by VORs to prevent stood shifts
- Mitigate potential stood shifts by facilitating driver shift swaps, depot relocations, or temporary use of assets from nearby depots
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all drivers, trucks, and trailers within the scheduling system
- Communicate clear and timely driver instructions for upcoming shifts to ensure full operational understanding and compliance
- Verify that each driver is correctly allocated to their designated truck for the next shift
- Update the Fleet Sheet continuously to reflect real-time changes, including VORs, maintenance, and planned events
- Support the efficient operation of the Scheduling function by maintaining accurate data, proactive communication, and seamless coordination across teams.
