DP World are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our Coventry site. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading the operational area, driving performance against key quality and productivity metrics, and ensuring operational excellence across the site. This is a key leadership role focused on delivering customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.

How you will contribute

  • Lead the operational area in collaboration with Supervisors and Team Leaders
  • Drive quality improvements whilst ensuring operational costs and contractual KPIs are achieved
  • Implement, monitor and enforce operational processes, ensuring compliance and continuous optimisation
  • Take responsibility for the achievement of agreed operational targets and service levels
  • Monitor performance against KPIs, implementing corrective actions where required
  • Work closely with the QEHS Manager and Business Controller to manage quality and productivity performance across the site
  • Act as the primary contact for all customer-related operational issues
  • Oversee inventory and administrative functions, ensuring effective cost control in line with budget requirements
  • Lead and champion continuous improvement initiatives across the site, including Kaizen and Just Do It (JDI) activities
  • Provide leadership and development to a team of 5 direct reports and approximately 30 indirect reports
  • Promote a culture of engagement, accountability, collaboration and high performance
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety policies, company values and the DP World Code of Conduct

What you will bring

  • Previous management experience within a fast-paced logistics, warehousing or supply chain environment
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management and customer service delivery
  • Proven experience leading teams and driving operational performance
  • Competent user of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
  • Strong customer focus with experience managing customer relationships and operational requirements
  • Results-driven with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet challenging targets
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams and functions
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality and protecting company information
