Operations Manager
Salary: £48,000 plus bonus, company car/cash allowance and pension
Hours: 1:30pm until 10:00pm, Monday to Friday (plus 1 in 6 weekends)
Location: Westminster

What you'll be doing;

Oversee the day-to-day operations of waste collection and street cleaning services within a defined area.

Monitor performance against service level agreements and take corrective action as necessary to ensure compliance.

Manage staff resources, including scheduling, training, and personnel management.

Ensure proper maintenance and deployment of equipment resources.

Implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.

Collaborate with other departments within the organization to coordinate waste disposal activities.

Responsible for the environment, health and safety and all relevant risk assessments, along with all employee relation issues.
What we're looking for;
-
Previous management experience within a similar role is required.

Ability to build strong relationships and deal effectively with people at different levels.

Strong people management skills to lead and support the team.
-
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
-
Analytical and numerate with a good financial understanding.

Report writing, communication and presentation skills.
-
Experience in the waste management sector together with experience of managing within a unionised environment is desirable.

NEBOSH and CPC in national road haulage would be advantageous.
