Operations Manager 

Salary: £45,000 per annum with an annual performance bonus, company car or cash allowance and pension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Location: Devon Street, Southwark, SE15 1 AL

What you'll be doing;

  • Overall responsibility for Fleet management and Operator License compliance 

  • Lead a team to deliver a Haulage & Logistics operation, ensuring all staff, visitors and contractors follow site rules 

  • Manage the municipal team service delivery on a daily basis, liaise with other managers and workshop to provide efficient work scheduling and planning to manage customer expectations 

  • Build and maintain good relationships with neighbours, local councils, regulators and other internal and external stakeholders 

  • Ensure training and competency checks are in place for all roles 

  • Responsible for the day to day running of operations with continuous improvements focused around VMR compliance, communications, customer focus and operational productivity 

  • Utilise data systems to improve operational performance and ensure operational targets are achieved in respect of Risk & Assurance performance 

What we're looking for;

  • Previous experience operating within a similar industry; waste/transport/logistics

  • Transport Manager CPC National/International

  • Leadership & Management work experience

  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent - Desirable 

  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of transport compliance and WTD

  • Good communication skills communicating with people of all levels specifically including drivers and frontline employees 

  • Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace Working with a quality management system e.g. ISO Managing transport compliance Experienced IT Skills, Google
