We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our award-winning Subsidence division.

You'll lead a team of Claims Technicians. They play a key part in progressing claims, supporting the claim owners and making sure the process keeps moving. You'll make sure your team is organised, motivated and delivering an excellent service to our clients and their customers.


You'll be responsible for team performance and day-to-day enquiries. You'll spot training needs and make sure they're met, keep team morale high, manage absence and carry out appraisals. Above all, you'll lead by example and model the behaviours needed to deliver excellence for customers and clients.

This role suits an experienced operations manager from any customer service or claims environment. It's also a great next step for a Senior Claims Technician or Team Leader in subsidence who's ready to move up into operations management.


The skills you will have when you apply:
  • Operational management experience: You've managed a team in a busy, customer-focused office or operations environment, or you're a Senior Claims Technician or Team Leader ready for the next step.
  • Organised and good people management skills: You're organised and accountable, and you can lead and motivate a team.
  • Subsidence knowledge (desirable): Experience of subsidence claims would be helpful but isn't essential.
  • Performance focus: You're comfortable managing workloads, productivity and service levels so the team meets client and customer expectations.
  • Leading by example: You can manage the team while modelling the behaviours needed to deliver excellent service.
  • Decisive and resilient: You resolve matters decisively and stay flexible during times of surge.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and empathy: You build strong relationships with your team, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and forward-thinking: You cope well in a fast-changing environment and want to embrace innovative ways of working.
  • IT literate: You have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
