The purpose of this document is to help prospective team members better understand the role and responsibilities with the position of Operations Manager at OpenDoor, WPP’s bespoke global operating model for Amazon.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Client Operations Manager. This is a full-time position based in London. This role plays a crucial part in delivering the Operational model that Amazon and OpenDoor have built together.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Manager role will primarily have ownership of the operational success of the client account. This vital role will work closely with our clients at Amazon and our internal teams to ensure that our work is delivered efficiently and effectively, by connecting our specialist teams and delivering ways of working that bring the best of WPP to Amazon. 

  • Works with the Operations Director to deliver the client’s transformation ambitions in EMEA with a particular focus on automation and simplification
  • Works with our clients to ensure that Amazon’s operational needs are met.
  • Implements & governs ways of working that drive efficiency
  • Ensures that our teams are equipped with knowledge, tools and clarity to deliver the best possible work.
  • Coordinates our teams to deliver on key strategic projects for Amazon

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong sense of client service, experience of delivering client success
  • Evidence of operational experience and ability to deliver workstreams
  • Knowledge of media and core media agency functions is required
  • Strong organizational skills and experience of building and rolling out processes
  • Must be very results-orientated and able to manage up
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Pro-active, organised and good attention to detail.

  • Creates templates /processes rather than just filling them in / following them – shares these with other markets / client teams.
