Operations Manager - Climate Markets Team

The main responsibilities of an Operations Manager include managing the daily operations of the organization to ensure a seamless process flow. They also involve strategic planning and resource allocation, as well as supporting staff performance and development. The role requires a strong emphasis on quality management, including the establishment of control processes that meet industry standards and ensure internal customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Operations Manager is tasked with monitoring and adjusting schedules, streamlining processes, and ensuring that operational objectives align with business goals.  The business is in start-up mode and the role will need to build new processes and controls as well as once complete move to operating them.  

Tasks and Duties

An Operations Manager must carry out a variety of specific tasks and duties, including:

• Developing and implementing operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization’s mission for the new carbon markets business .
• Overseeing and supporting budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing as needed.
• Implementing health and safety procedures in line with industry standards and government regulations where neccessary.
• Working closely with businesss leads, including marketing, delivery, and human resources to ensure optimal operation and growth.
• Analyzing process workflow and devising optimization strategies.
• Managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other partners.
• Staying current on industry trends, products, and technology that may impact the organization.
