The Operations Controller manages daily flying programs, maintains contact with aircraft, liaises with engineering for aircraft availability, and coordinates passenger services and logistics. Responsibilities also include updating communications and IT systems, compiling reports, and implementing emergency response procedures as needed.
We invite applications for a Operations Controller position, based at our Forties Road premises (Dyce, Aberdeen).
Key Responsibilities include:
- Flight Watch – Maintaining contact with aircraft
- Engineering Liaison – establish aircraft availability and provide crews for ground runs.
- Operation and control of daily flying programme
- Passenger Services / Logistics Liaison – Advising of route changes, delays, passenger requirements and payloads.
- Communications & IT Systems – compile reports, ensure correct coding is used & update info on systems.
- Emergency Response Procedures – implement procedures as required in accordance with Company ERP plans and participate in ERP exercises.
Key skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in Flight Operations is essential
- Good communication skills
- Experience of liaising with customers and clients
- A CAA Restricted Radio Operators Certificate would be advantageous
- Please note that weekend and evening work will be required.
