As a Operations Assistant based in Reading, you’ll be responsible for:
General Warehouse duties.
Picking and packing stock, which will involve heavy lifting and manual handling of heavy items like boilers, radiators, toilets etc.
Loading/unloading vehicles safely.
Ensuring the workplace is tidy and adheres to our health and safety procedures.
You will need to support the Trade Counter as required providing exceptional customer service at all times.
The role is full time, permanent position, 40hrs per week, Monday-Friday 07:00-16:00. Alternate Saturdays 08:00-12:00 after probation, paid as overtime.
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
Full UK manual driving license is preferable - to cover driver holidays.
Able to handle a physically demanding job.
Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.
Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
