Operations Assistant - Reading (RG30 6BX) - Plumb Centre

As a Operations Assistant based in Reading, you’ll be responsible for:

  • General Warehouse duties.

  • Picking and packing stock, which will involve heavy lifting and manual handling of heavy items like boilers, radiators, toilets etc.

  • Loading/unloading vehicles safely.

  • Ensuring the workplace is tidy and adheres to our health and safety procedures.

  • You will need to support the Trade Counter as required providing exceptional customer service at all times.

The role is full time, permanent position, 40hrs per week, Monday-Friday 07:00-16:00. Alternate Saturdays 08:00-12:00 after probation, paid as overtime.

And here’s what we’d like you to have:

  • Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.

  • Full UK manual driving license is preferable - to cover driver holidays.

  • Able to handle a physically demanding job.

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.

  • Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.

  • Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
