Operations Assistant – Hemel Hempstead - Burdens

 As an Operations Assistant based in Hemel Hempstead you’ll be responsible for:  

  • Providing a high level of customer service by supplying the correct materials.
  • Checking Goods-in are correctly delivered against delivery notes and goods are booked in on the Wolseley System, then put away accurately and safely.
  • Accurately picking and labelling goods booked out to customers and other branches using Wolseley System, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
  • Maintaining standards of housekeeping and adhere to health and safety guidelines, including manual handling techniques, use of loading equipment and PPE.
  • Deputising for the Operations Supervisor or Manager as required.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday


And here’s what we’d like you to have: 

  • Previous industry experience would be ideal
  • Previous warehouse or Merchanting background
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers to build effective relationships
