A bit about the role:

As part of a small, high-impact team, you will play a key role in delivering business-critical regulatory objectives, working closely with senior leaders, accountable executives and SMF24 stakeholders across the Business Unit. You will help design and implement both the business and operational resilience strategy, ensuring resilience is embedded by design holistically across Aviva Investors. Day-to-day, you will help provide oversight and input into activities delivered by Group Operational Resilience, respondto incidents through effective ‘in the moment’ support and drive recovery & remediation actions and run testing exercises of all types of operational dependencies. You will contribute across a broad range of operational resilience topics, supporting compliance throughout the lifecycle of annual activities and ad hoc projects. In this role, you will support the implementation and ongoing coordination of the Business Continuity and Crisis Management framework, working collaboratively with internal and Aviva plc stakeholders to meet requirements. You will build a strong understanding of the organisational model and operating environment to identify improvement opportunities and provide constructive challenge, ensuring resilience and recovery capabilities are robust and fit for purpose. You will also help embed a ‘resilience by design’ mindset across the business, support the delivery of the operational resilience strategy through effective governance and risk frameworks, and contribute to the timely and accurate reporting of resilience insights to risk committees and governance forums.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Degree / MBA qualified plus recognised industry professional qualifications e.g. from CBI or DRII
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and industry practice (e.g. UK FCA / PRA Operational Resilience Regulation, ISO-IEC 22301, EU DORA, Singapore MAS)
  • Specific experience sought includes IT/DR technical knowledge, running crisis simulated exercises, joint 3rd/4th party joint exercises,
  • Experience of working with industry standards and best practice in governance
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and a risk-based mindset with an enjoyment and proven track record of unsupported problem solving

What you’ll get for this role:

Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow – is a promise we make to our colleagues too. And one of the ways we live up to that promise is by investing in you. We have so much to offer when it comes to being an Aviva colleague:

  • Competitive salary (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications).

  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.

  • Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 annual volunteering days to help others.
