Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, bringing together the world’s leading risk takers to advance global progress.

Our strategy is focused on delivering strong underwriting performance, operating an efficient and flexible marketplace, and maximising the capital advantage of the Lloyd’s market — while continuing to build a Lloyd’s we are proud of.

How we deliver this, matters. We take the risk, make things happen, and own the outcome — working together across our global network to turn insight into impact.

We are looking for a Market Operational Resilience Manager for a 12 Month FTC / Secondment to help us strengthen the resilience of the Lloyd’s market.

This is your opportunity to influence how risk is understood, assessed and acted on across a global marketplace.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll support our Market Governance, Risk and Resilience leadership team by turning insight into impact.

  • Review and assess operational and cyber resilience submissions from managing agents
  • Identify strengths, gaps and emerging risks across the market
  • Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations on where oversight should focus
  • Shape and deliver reporting for senior governance forums
  • Support and sometimes lead conversations with market stakeholders
  • Contribute to market-wide initiatives, including scenario exercises and resilience surveys
  • Build strong relationships across Markets and Operations to ensure consistent, effective oversight

Because this role matters, your work will directly influence how resilient the Lloyd’s market is today – and how it evolves tomorrow.

What you’ll bring

We’re interested in people who think clearly, communicate openly and act with integrity.

Experience

  • A strong background in operational and/or cyber resilience
  • Experience working with risk, governance or regulatory frameworks
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and providing challenge where needed
  • Ability to interpret complex information and turn it into clear recommendations

Knowledge

  • Understanding of resilience frameworks and good practice
  • Awareness of insurance or financial services risk drivers
  • Knowledge of governance, regulatory expectations and market dynamics

Skills

  • You listen, question and get to the heart of an issue
  • You influence and collaborate to reach the right outcome
  • You make balanced, risk-aware decisions
  • You adapt your style to different situations and people

And importantly, you’re curious. You want to understand how things work – and how they can work better.

What you’ll get

We’re building a Lloyd’s that reflects the global markets we serve. That means creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

  • A role where your voice is heard and your expertise matters
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders across the Lloyd’s market
  • Opportunities to shape market-wide resilience thinking
  • A culture built on openness, integrity, focus and empowerment
  • Ongoing support for your development and growth

Being inclusive at Lloyd’s is integral to how we work — and how we deliver impact.
We aim to build a diverse, inclusive environment that reflects the global markets we serve, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and supported to reach their full potential.

We take the risk by challenging traditional thinking and being proactive about inclusion. That means being open and positive about workplace adjustments, prioritising health and wellbeing, and investing in diversity and inclusion training so everyone feels able to contribute and succeed.

We make things happen by turning our commitment into action. Through employee networks, mentoring, volunteering opportunities and sustained investment in professional development, we create an environment where inclusion is experienced day‑to‑day — not just talked about.

We own the outcome by focusing on impact. By bringing together diverse perspectives and the best minds in the industry, we work collaboratively with underwriters and brokers to create innovative, responsive solutions that share risk and solve complex problems across global markets.
