Sedgwick Global Specialty is looking for individuals with strong technical expertise across Oil & Gas operations who are keen to apply their industry knowledge in a new direction — supporting the investigation and resolution of complex insurance claims.

This role offers a unique opportunity to move away from operational environments and into a commercial, advisory position, working closely with global insurers, reinsurers and industry experts on high-value energy losses.

You will be supported in developing your loss adjusting expertise, gaining exposure to policy interpretation, claims investigation and business interruption analysis, while leveraging your existing technical understanding of energy assets, processes and risks.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Investigating Losses – Supporting the assessment of material damage and business interruption claims across Oil & Gas assets
  • Technical Analysis – Applying your operational knowledge to understand cause of loss, asset impact and recovery timelines
  • Report Writing – Ability to produce clear, structured and professional reports, articulating technical findings, loss scenarios and recommendations
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Working with insureds, insurers, brokers and technical experts across the region
  • Site Visits – Attending loss sites across the Middle East where required
  • Reporting – Assisting in the preparation of clear, structured reports and recommendations on complex claims
The skills you will have when you apply:
  • Oil & Gas Background – Experience within upstream, midstream or downstream operations, engineering, maintenance, or project environments
  • Technical Expertise – Strong understanding of energy assets, processes and operational risk
  • Commercial Awareness – Interest in developing a career within insurance and claims management
  • Analytical Thinking – Ability to assess complex scenarios and translate technical detail into clear outcomes
  • Communication Skills – Confident engaging with a range of stakeholders across different cultures and environments
  • Adaptability – Willingness to travel and work across the Middle East as required
What we’ll give you for this role:

Remuneration & more

  • Competitive salary taking into account skills, experience and qualifications
  • Self Invested Personal Pension Scheme (SIPP)
  • Generous holiday allowance plus public holidays
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements

Health & support

  • Private healthcare plan (including pre-existing conditions)
  • Life assurance
  • Employee assistance programme for wellbeing
  • Group Income Protection

Other benefits

  • Voluntary benefits including dental cover and wellbeing support
  • Discounts on various products and services
