About Wahed:
The global financial system wasn’t built for everyone. For millions of people, its reliance on interest (riba) creates a barrier to managing money and building wealth without compromising their values.

At Wahed, we’re changing that. We are a global fintech company on a mission to build a new financial system — one that is ethical, accessible, and entirely interest-free. From our offices across the globe, our team is building products that were once deemed impossible: from pioneering Shariah-compliant equity ETFs, to true riba-free alternatives to high-yield savings accounts, to no-leverage, income-producing real estate investments. If you’re driven to solve complex problems and believe finance should empower, not exclude, join us in building a more equitable financial future.
Job Brief:
Our Baker Street office runs because someone makes it run. This is a hands-on, part-time role owning the day-to-day of the office: opening it up each morning, keeping it safe, stocked and secure, and making sure everyone joining or leaving the company has the equipment and access they need from day one.

It suits someone who wants genuine part-time work with real ownership, rather than a support role at the edge of things. You'll be the person the whole London team relies on, working directly with our HR, Finance and IT teams across a global fintech.

The role can be worked as mornings only, or as full working days on a part-time basis - we'll agree the pattern that works best with the right candidate.

Job Description:

  • Facilities

  • Own the day-to-day running of the office, opening and closing it and making sure it's ready for the team each day.

  • Keep the office well stocked and well maintained, managing supplies, equipment and suppliers.

  • Health, Safety & Security

  • Maintain a safe working environment, carrying out routine checks and testing.

  • Own office security, including the alarm and camera systems, and act as first point of contact for any issues.

  • Manage building and system access across the team.

  • Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Own the office side of the joiner and leaver process, working closely with HR.

  • Manage equipment and access from set-up through to return.

  • Administration

  • Handle incoming post, utilities and expenses, working with Finance where needed.

  • Keep office records and accounts accurate and up to date.

  • First-line IT Support

  • Act as the office's first point of contact for IT issues, escalating to the IT team as needed.

Job Specification:

    What We're Looking For:

  • Reliable, without exception: The office cannot open without you. Punctuality and consistency matter more than anything else in this role.

  • Organised and thorough: You work from checklists and systems, so nothing gets missed.

  • Hands-on and practical: You'd rather fix the thing than raise a ticket about it, and you're comfortable dealing with suppliers and contractors directly.

  • Confident with everyday systems: You pick up workplace tools such as Slack, Rippling, Pleo and access control software quickly.

  • Discreet and trustworthy: You'll hold keys, alarm codes, access rights and expense records.

  • Approachable and service-minded: You're the first person staff and visitors see.

  • What You'll Get:

  • Genuine part-time hours, with a pattern built around your life - mornings only, or full working days on a part-time basis.

  • Complete ownership of our London office from day one.

  • Broad exposure across facilities, health and safety, HR operations, IT and finance admin at a global fintech.

  • A competitive salary, pro-rata to the hours worked.

  • A front-row seat at a global fintech on a genuine mission, working from our Baker Street office.
