Banana Moon Day Nurseries is searching for a passionate and driven Room Leader to join our nurturing and vibrant team! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the care and education of children in your designated room, ensuring that they thrive in a warm and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that meet the individual needs and interests of each child.
  • Supervise and mentor nursery staff, encouraging professional development and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years curriculum.
  • Maintain open and regular communication with parents, providing feedback on their child’s development and well-being.
  • Contribute to the nursery’s policies and practices to foster a positive atmosphere and achieve excellence in care.
  • Support the management team in promoting high standards of care and education, ensuring the nursery achieves excellent inspection outcomes.

Requirements
  • A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in an early years setting, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and understanding of child development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A passionate and positive approach to childcare and education.
  • Current DBS check and up-to-date safeguarding training are essential.
