Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to support the ongoing stability and resilience of a global network environment. In this role, you will own critical operational deliverables including technical debt remediation, lifecycle management, automation maintenance, compliance reporting, and incident resolution.
You will collaborate closely with client and internal engineering teams to ensure the network remains secure, scalable, and aligned with best‑in‑class operational standards. This position requires a strong technical foundation in enterprise networking, automation, cloud infrastructure, and documentation excellence, along with a proactive and service‑oriented mindset.
What You’ll Do- Technical Debt Remediation and Operational Reporting - Deliver a monthly technical debt report identifying issues within Arista CVP/CVaaS and documenting all successfully remediated items. Proactively analyse network configurations and automation pipelines to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Network Resilience and Risk Mitigation - Conduct scheduled network resilience and failover tests, producing detailed reports outlining vulnerabilities, test outcomes, and validated remediation actions. Partner with engineering teams to ensure improvements are implemented, verified, and sustainably embedded.
- Device Lifecycle and Upgrade Management - Execute quarterly network device upgrades, including routers, switches, and firewalls, in line with approved maintenance windows. Document upgrade plans, outcomes, rollback procedures, and post‑change validation results.
- Automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code - Maintain and enhance existing automation pipelines by resolving bugs and improving workflows. Deliver validated Infrastructure as Code templates using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python to support consistent, scalable deployments. Ensure CI/CD processes remain secure, reliable, and aligned with evolving network standards.
- Cloud Server Health and Data Protection - Produce a monthly GCP Server Health Report highlighting performance trends, optimisation opportunities, and configuration drift. Deliver a Disaster Recovery Readiness Report confirming backup integrity, configuration protection, and recovery preparedness.
- Compliance, Licensing, and Documentation - Maintain and deliver an up‑to‑date Network Licensing Log each month, ensuring compliance with vendor and contractual requirements. Produce accurate as‑built documentation for all new configurations, deployments, and architectural changes.
- Incident and Request Management - Resolve assigned network incidents and service requests in accordance with defined SLAs. Provide clear communication, conduct root‑cause analysis, and recommend preventative actions for recurring issues.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Network Engineering or Network Operations within enterprise‑scale environments
- Strong hands‑on expertise with Arista and Cisco technologies, routing and switching, firewalls, and network automation
- Experience with automation frameworks and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python
- Familiarity with GCP or other major cloud platforms, including monitoring, configuration management, and backup validation
- Proven ability to manage complex operational workflows, maintenance windows, and cross‑team coordination
- Strong documentation skills, including SOPs, MOPs, as‑built diagrams, and compliance reporting
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Professional‑level network certification (e.g., CCNP, Arista ACE L3, or equivalent) preferred
- Ability to work proactively, manage multiple priorities, and consistently deliver against defined service commitments
